Application for suspension of waste management services

For a temporary suspension lasting from one to three months (1–3 months), the matter must be agreed upon with the waste transport company. The waste transport company has the right to grant one (1) such suspension per calendar year for residential properties. If there is more than one (1) suspension for the same property, or if the suspension lasts longer than three calendar months, an exemption permit must be applied for from the Waste Management Board.

The suspension must be reported to the waste authority well in advance, at least three weeks before the suspension begins.
A suspension always requires that the property is not in use. The waste container must be emptied right before the suspension of waste collection starts.
Properties with their own septic tank (i.e. properties not connected to the sewer network) may suspend sludge emptying if the property is unoccupied for more than one year. The septic tank must also be emptied right before the suspension starts.
