The Vaasa Region Waste Management Board is responsible for the statutory waste management authority duties of the municipalities, as well as other waste management development and monitoring tasks.

The Waste Management Board grants exemptions from waste management regulations. For example, if you wish to apply for an extended waste container emptying interval or if you share a waste container with others, you must submit a written application using the Waste Management Board's form.
